Dr. Nadine Lehrieder to leave Lehrieder Catering

17. January 2025
  • As the catering company’s Managing Director, Dr Nadine Lehrieder has played a major role in shaping the organisation since 2005, putting an emphasis on sustainability

  • Thomas Domani will take over as sole Managing Director, with support from new Commercial Manager André Dienesen

Time to say goodbye: Dr Nadine Lehrieder has headed the Lehrieder catering firm for 20 years, most recently in tandem with Thomas Domani since 2020. Now, by her own choice, she will be leaving the NürnbergMesse subsidiary as she continues to pursue her passion to inspire people and will be passing along her extensive fund of experience. Upon her departure on 31 January, Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co. KG will undergo a reorganisation. Thomas Domani will serve as sole Managing Director, with support from a new Commercial Manager, André Dienesen. “We want to thank Dr Lehrieder for all her successes working at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. She has achieved great things as a manager, especially in revamping Lehrieder’s trade fair catering on a sustainable basis. We wish her all the best for the future,” said Dr Martin Kassubek, Senior Vice President Business Development and NürnbergMesse’s shareholder representative at Lehrieder.

Dr Lehrieder guided Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co. KG with skill and passion for two decades, and played a major role in the company’s integration into the NürnbergMesse Group – initially as a 50% affiliate in 2016, and later, from 2021, as a wholly-owned subsidiary. As Managing Director, she steadily fostered the company’s ongoing evolution, earning numerous awards in the process. In 2024 GVMANAGER, the management magazine for the catering industry, named her “Catering Manager of the Year.” The Rolling Pin trade journal named Lehrieder a Top Employer in Germany for 2023 and 2024.

Dr Lehrieder, whose degree is in business administration, has always cared deeply about sustainability. That concern led her to play a significant role in advancing the company’s 2011 certification with the Green Globe, and its Platinum award in 2023. Her dedication to sustainability and her “Love Nature Cuisine” initiative won the company a citation from Cooking + Catering Inside magazine as 2023 Caterer of the Year in the Sustainability category. That same year, Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co. KG won a National German Sustainability Award.

Reorganisation at Lehrieder

Upon Dr Lehrieder’s departure, Thomas Domani will take charge of Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co. KG as sole Managing Director. He’ll be supported by new Commercial Manager André Dienesen, who will be coming to Nuremberg from his position as head of Controlling & Merchandise Management at DS EMOVA Group in Munich. A new organisational structure will also go into effect at the same time. The management level will be subdivided into four departments: Operations, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Administration. The new setup is expected to benefit clients, suppliers, and service providers with faster decision-making and greater flexibility.
