Effective 1 August 2023, the NürnbergMesse Group will have a new management structure. As resolved by the Supervisory Board in its meeting of 30 June, management responsibilities will be reshuffled at the exhibition company. Peter Ottmann (56), who has led the NürnbergMesse Group as CEO together with Prof. Dr Roland Fleck since 2011, will be the sole Chief Executive Officer after Prof Fleck enters retirement on 1 August. Lord Mayor Marcus König, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NürnbergMesse, said: “As an extraordinarily experienced trade fair executive, Peter Ottmann will now serve as the sole CEO of NürnbergMesse. We have no doubt that he will continue the success our company has enjoyed over the last 12 years. He will be supported by a strong quartet of senior managers at the second management level. The CEO and the Senior Management Committee will work together closely as the new leadership team, which encompasses a diverse array of talents, abilities, and experience from within the company. They will be able to confront the future challenges of the trade fair industry more effectively and more quickly on the basis of the new business strategy. We wish to express our special gratitude to Roland Fleck, who has been remarkably successful in the last 12 years as one of the company’s two CEOs. He and Peter Ottmann together have built our company into one of the 15 largest exhibition companies in the world.”

The new Group Executive Board is composed of four members of the Senior Management Committee, who as senior department managers will report directly to Peter Ottmann. Each one of these four experienced executives will take on additional responsibility for one of NürnbergMesse’s corporate staff departments. The Product Management Department to be led by Petra Wolf (52) will cover all event activities at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. All international activities and corporate governance issues will be combined within the Group Development Department to be headed up by Dr Thomas Koch (46). Dr Martin Kassubek (42) will bear responsibility for all matters related to strategy, digital, and services in the Business Development Department. And as head of the Finance & Facility Department, Dirk Blum (57) will focus on site infrastructure and finance. The extended management team will be composed of NürnbergMesse’s current department managers, as before.
