The journey of our waste

Whether in the office or in the exhibition hall - our aim is to reduce waste. Nevertheless, waste is always unavoidable at trade fairs, events and in office operations. We dispose of and recycle this waste responsibly. As a site operator and event organizer, we collect, dispose of and process waste for our customers. To this end, we work primarily with the EMAS-certified waste management company "VEOLIA".

What happens to our trade fair waste

Waste is collected and disposed of in garbage cans. Waste from the stands ends up in our large black containers.
Wood waste is collected separately on site.

2 .

Our waste disposal service provider empties garbage cans and containers and takes the waste to RESSOURCENWERK, a joint venture of NGV Nürnberger Gewerbemüllverwertung and GRÜNEN ENGEL.

3 .

At RESSOURCENWERK, waste is sorted and recycled by hand in accordance with commercial waste regulations.
Our sorting rate is 99.7%.
Our recycling rate is 17.3%.

We can only do it together: How you can help

Visitors

Please use the waste garbage cans in our halls, on our premises and in our offices. You can dispose of your waste collectively in the garbage cans and we will sort it with our partners.

Exhibitors and stand builders

Please use our black 1.1m3 containers to dispose of your trade fair waste.

Please note:

We dispose of wood waste separately. Please stack wood waste in the halls.
Do not overfill the containers. Empty containers can be found in the loading yard.
Further information can be found in the display cases at the hall gates.

Our waste management system uncovers potential waste savings - and makes the journey of our leftovers ever more efficient. It is part of our comprehensive environmental management system, which was certified by TÜV-Süd at the beginning of 2024. These are just some of the many measures we take as hosts and organizers for our environment and society. We have been documenting these and other successes in an annual sustainability report since 2021.
