Soccer and networking at the Trade Fair Soccer Cup in Nuremberg. This is our team

On June 15, 2024, the International Trade Fair Soccer Cup will take place for the 42nd time. To mark its 50th anniversary, NürnbergMesse will be the venue and proud host for the first time. A few weeks before the tournament, anticipation is building among the NürnbergMesse players. These are our kickers! Part 3

Teresa Holtgreife - soccer-enthusiastic HR manager

What is your job at NürnbergMesse?

I'm a working student in the HR department, where I'm responsible for recruiting working students and interns, among other things. I also help with applicant management, organizing and running events and taking care of certificates. For my colleagues, I trustingly take care of the supply of sweets! 😉

Teresa Holtgreife

Teresa brings with her experience from the district league.

What does soccer mean to you?

I've been playing soccer at DJK Nürnberg-Eibach for 18 years, currently in the "Bezirksoberliga" (District premier league).

How did you join the NM team?

Uwe, our coach, was scheduled to referee one of my games with the DJK. He basically recruited me on the pitch. Since then, I've played and trained in two teams: DJK on Wednesdays and NürnbergMesse on Mondays.

What are your hopes for the 2024 Trade Fair Soccer Cup in Nuremberg?

I'm really looking forward to the tournament - my first Trade Fair Cup. I hope for lots of fun, good teamwork and, most importantly, no injuries! To make the tournament a success, I'd like to see plenty of loud support for our team and fair play on the pitch.

Franchesco Salinas Leistner - his heart beats for La Liga

What is your job at the exhibition?

I've been working for Holtmann+, a service partner of NürnbergMesse, since 2019. I'm in the "Technical Design" department there and create assembly plans for exhibition stands or production drawings for various articles and components. I am also responsible for rendered representations of products.

Franchesco is a fan of Real Madrid

Franchesco is a fan of Real Madrid and follows the Spanish league.

What is your connection to soccer?

I've been playing for FSV Stadeln in Fürth since I was a G-youth and have played in all the youth divisions up to the 2nd men's team. I currently play as a hobby in a private team in Stadeln. I mainly follow Spanish soccer and am a Real Madrid fan.

How did you join the NM team?

I was approached by a colleague at work last fall and have been going to the NürnbergMesse team's training sessions regularly ever since.

What are your hopes for the Trade Fair Soccer Cup in Nuremberg?

I'm hoping for a lot of fun, a really good atmosphere, lots of spectators and exciting and fair soccer!

Franz Schlereth - ensures security: in the it-sa team and in defense

What is your job at NürnbergMesse and in the soccer team?

In the soccer team, I usually play in the full-back position. At NürnbergMesse, I work in the event team for the IT security trade fair it-sa and take care of the organization of the trade fair, one of the largest cyber security trade fairs in the world!

Franz is already playing his third Cup.

Franz is already playing his third Cup.

What is your connection to soccer?

I played for many years in my youth. When I started my apprenticeship at NürnbergMesse, this hobby fell asleep a bit - until NürnbergMesse called for the Trade Fair Soccer Cup in Berlin. I was able to revive my childhood hobby in the exhibition team.

How did you join the NM team?

A good year before the Trade Fair Soccer Cup in Berlin, there was a call for a trade fair soccer team to be set up. I signed up straight away and have been involved ever since. The home tournament in Nuremberg is already my third Trade Fair Soccer Cup!

What do you want for the 2024 Trade Fair Soccer Cup in Nuremberg?

I would like to win the title at the 2024 home tournament! At the two previous tournaments in Berlin and Utrecht, we studied our opponents carefully. The other exhibition companies have good teams and years of tournament experience. We have respect for that! But we are preparing well and are very motivated! I'm hoping for a fair tournament with lots of enthusiastic spectators, good weather and simply a good atmosphere!

We are looking forward to the 42nd International Trade Fair Soccer Cup on June 15 in Nuremberg!
